  Visiting Ottawa from out of town and were looking for a good burger and a beer for dinner. This was a perfect stop-great atmosphere and good food.

  I went there today with a friend. My burger was dry and well done even though they state their burgers are served medium. I asked for poutine and I got regular fries instead, their loss I guess since poutine is an extra charge.  When the bill came even though it showed just a 15 dollar plus tax burger bill they added an extra two dollars to my bill for no reason. After I paid I questioned the server on it and he said my mistake and gave me back 2 dollars. So why 2 stars after a bad experience? Well service was fast (only 2 pairs of customers total were there when I went 4 hours ago, so service
  Better be fast I guess) and place was nice inside. But I will not be back. Pretty disappointed in my burger and the up charge.

  Visiting Ottawa for the first time. Found this burger place just a few blocks from our Andaz hotel. Could not bring our dog in so we ordered takeout and waited outside. A couple coming out told us the burgers were way delicious, so that is what we ordered. The hostess came outside to see us and she spent 10 minutes loving our sweet yellow lab. She was super friendly! A waiter also came outside to take our order and he was equally a great young man. Soon the same hostess came out with our food and she made sure it had plenty of condiments, forks and napkins. Five minutes later we were in our hotel room eating: the burgers were beyond delicious and we loved the natural cut fries too! And this was plenty of food!
  Best food and best staff in a long time! We will tell all our friends how good Bites and Burgers is!

  Environment: cozy. It felt a little crowded if the whole place fills up.
  
  Staff: got our orders right and got what we needed.
  
  Food. I ordered FUNGUY (grilled portabello mushroom with a patty). We upgraded to get a garden salad. The meat was cooked nicely. It had a nice beef flavor. The grilled portabello was very nice too. I was just hoping they would put a few more slices for the price I paid. The bun was super soft and their home made smoky ketchup went well with it, too.
  
  Heads up: for those who have trouble walking up the stairs, this is a little tricky. My grandpa used a wheel chair but when we arrived at the restaurant, we had to make him walk up the stairs, with much support of course.

  Very cool, bioster place. More than a dozen burgers and sandwiches. When you see their menu, you will understand. You cant go wrong. Can definitely hangout here on a daily basis.
  
  Let me add that it was Jenna and Bonnie, that made my experience fun and unique.
